Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away... is a planet once abandoned by its inhabitants from war, famine, drought, and the looming threat of a sun undergoing supernova. Thrust into imminent doom, the people took to the stars and formed a coalition, a unitary government in hopes of bringing back peaceful times. What had resulted was the construction of The Prophecy, a deep space station made from the technology that had remained. Together, multiple races had achieved sustainability through cooperation, but for how long?

A multicultural parliamentary government consisting of different races overseers The Prophecy. Ellie, or Monera Vibrio, is the sheltered daughter of chief executive Alii Vibrio, otherwise known as the Prime. The aftershock of a government experiment gone wrong in hopes of ending hunger had affected the stillborn Gluukopha and many others, instilling the natural ability of hyper-accelerated, reverse cellular differentiation, or simply shape-shifting. A self educated mechanical engineer, sweet enthusiast, and artist, she discovers a fascination for Earth and human culture through Japanese anime taken from fragments of intercepted radio waves. Frustrated by her sheltered life and the long time bitterness between her and her father, she leaves The Prophecy to seek asylum in Earth.
