Intro to "Monday's Forecast for Hareyakana City"

The manga I'm making is a slice-of-life comedy titled, Monday's Forecast for Hareyakana City. "Oh Jesus, not another one," you say? Or, "how will this be any better or different from the piles of slice-of-life comedies that are pumped out of Japan?" Well, for one, I want to incorporate a style of humor that hybridizes Western and Eastern humor into one package. Expect everything from dirty to intelligent bits.

Two, I want my manga to have a plethora of deep and engaging characters. Characters whom are definitive, each bearing interesting and unique back stories. Of course, they will all have their flaws of which they will have to overcome or come to terms with.

Lastly, a decent plot. Cowboy Bebop had this thing where every episode was its own thing, yet it followed a transparent plot that led to a conclusion of which united the entire experience. I want something like that, where each chapter is different so that one can re-read them at his/her leisure, yet they all link together.

The story centers around four young adults in the unrecognized city of Hareyakana, which is located near the coast of one of Japan's islands, where bizarre to insane absurdities are common occurrences almost everyday. Each chapter is a personal story for the protagonists, where we unravel and delve into each protagonist. It is a story of self reflection and revelation with some randomness sprinkled in.

If that isn't tantalizing enough, then I apologize for my inability to convey and hype. I am an idiot ;).
